Forgive the dumb question, but how did the four tracks stay so synchronized? Are your internal clocks that good, or is there some sort of "conducting" being done?
No conducting or beat, Chris. We just played along with each other’s tracks in our ears and relied on our internal clocks. Not a dumb question at all though! I’ll tell you the details sometime...

Incredible piece...my orchestra is doing this with the two violin professors pretty soon. I started practicing the first violin part today, it's not easy music.

This rendition of o.p. 60 Barcarolle is like a perfect dance between Violinist and Violist. There is a lot of love between the two instrumentalist. The Violist though quite accomplished, seems to loose some stamina toward the end of the U Tube performance clip. Although this does occur, it is not an element of the performance which distracts from its prevailing charm.
So clean, yet musical... Impressive!!
